All of our instructors have interesting back stories, full of yoga adventures and true tales of transformation through their personal yoga practices. Our two newest yoga teachers, Brian and Jenna, along with our amazing Vinyasa Flow instructor Bonnie, were hired fresh from the Front’s Yoga Teacher Training program. Getting to know them as students, we had no choice but to want to add them to our teaching team.

Brian Forman

Ashtanga instructor Sarah Jane recalls first meeting Brian Forman at the Front: “l will never forget Brian as a new yoga student. He was flowing over with determination, focus, questions, and unmanifested gifts ready to blossom into something truly wonderful. Sammy Brown and I both think he was meant to be a great yogi! In the almost 4 years since, he is already becoming accomplished as a great practitioner and we are so happy to see him teaching others straight from his heart and the knowledge he has gained through extensive practice and study. Brian had already done some workshops with some of our favorite teachers, Mary Taylor and Richard Freeman in Boulder Colorado and spent two months studying yoga in India with Ashtanga Yoga Guru Sharath K Jois before he took our training course here at the Front."

Brian is an integral part of our Front yoga family and we are happy he has joined our teaching team! You can catch Brian's classes on Tuesday and Thursday from noon - 1pm when he teaches Half Primary Series or at his Wednesday wind-down Slow Flow class from 8 - 9pm.

Jennalynn Vignogna

Jennalynn is The Front's newest hire and will start teaching in January 2018. Jenna found yoga about 7 years ago working at a gym in New York. Shortly after, she moved to Florida and began to explore various styles of yoga, and develop a daily practice. She was introduced to Ashtanga yoga in 2014 and became fascinated with the elegance of the practice. Upon moving to Utah in 2016, Jenna completed her 200 YTT at The Front in the fall of 2017. It was great to get to know Jenna during yoga teacher training—her focus and awareness are very inspiring and her practice is beautiful to watch. She has an extensive background as a yoga practitioner and it shows. Her curiosity, kindness and professionalism will take her as far as she wants to go. Jenna has been practicing teaching up in Park City over the summer and fall, and we can't wait to have her begin teaching at The Front to share her experience with our community members.

Jenna's hope is to help students use yoga to find grounding and balance in their everyday lives. When Jenna is not teaching or practicing you can find her cooking vegetarian food, or outside hiking, biking or snowboarding.

Bonnie Russell

Bonnie completed her yoga teacher training at the YogaLoft in The Front Ogden, and has been teaching at The Front SLC since 2014. In yoga, you are exactly where you need to be, and for Bonnie yoga is where she feels the most complete. If you thought yoga was relaxed and mellow stretching, Bonnie’s class will test that perception.  She loves to design flows that combine breath and movement while challenging the equanimity between strength and ease, in a high energy setting with a killer playlist.

Bonnie gives you the opportunity to challenge your edge, open your mind, have some fun with your body and sweat. She has been traveling and working in Africa; ask her about her travels next time you see her!

Check out Bonnie's Vinyasa Flow class from 6:45pm - 7:45pm on Mondays and Wednesday. View the entire yoga schedule here.
