Our new Salt Lake Ashtanga Yoga apparel has arrived! We have tanks (pictured below) and hoodies hanging by the foot of the stairway – grab some new fly new threads and share the love by repping your favorite yoga studio!

As you may know, in Ashtanga yoga tradition both full and new moon days are observed holidays from the practice. The moon’s relative position to the sun is seen to create strong energetic experiences and patterns in our bodies and minds. The next new moon day is Wednesday, June 13, so please take rest – we will have no Mysore class that day!

Two of our yoga teachers will be attending some amazing Ashtanga Yoga trainings this summer, so be sure and wish them well before they go, we are super stoked for them and love that they are continuing their studies with such amazing seasoned Yoga teachers. Steph Nally will be going to Carlsbad, California to study teaching the Primary Series June 16 – June 29 with Ashtanga icon Tim Miller. Brian Forman will be attending Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor’s 200-hour teacher’s intensive in Boulder, Colorado July 9 – August 3rd.

There’s still time to sign up for our 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training which begins June 22 with Rebecka Cooper, Sarah Jane Burkholz, and Sammy Brown. We are going to have so much fun!

Ever wonder about Ayurveda? Take this quiz through the Chopra Center to figure out your dosha (body/mind type). Knowing your dosha is a super fun way to take steps to balance your body and mind through Ayurvedic techniques.

See you in the Shala!
