We are happy and sad to announce that our beautiful and talented Rebecka Cooper is moving away to live in gorgeous southern Utah with her new husband. She has had one adventure after another this year; first getting married, then going on an epic river trip through the Grand Canyon on her honeymoon, and now being swept away with her prince charming. We will dearly miss her indomitable presence. We will miss seeing her ride up to teach on her badass bike with her red cowgirl boots and wild lioness hair. We will miss the music of her sweet and sincere voice filled with conviction spouting poetry encouraging us to love ourselves and our bodies. We will miss the magic and creativity of her yoga sequences. BUT, hopefully we will still have her as part of our Yoga Teacher Training team for years to come. So, if you are interested in Yoga Teacher Training at The Front you may very likely still have the chance to connect with this free-spirited angel on a deep level. Be sure to hit up her classes this month to soak up the gift of her amazingness and give her a thank you, some good-bye love, and your best wishes. Cooper teaches Power Vinyasa from 9:15-10:30 am Monday – Friday and noon Vinyasa on Tuesdays (12-1pm). See the full yoga schedule here.

On that note, we will be publishing the upcoming schedule in our next newsletter and on our website, which will be basically the same but with different teachers for some of the classes! We have hired the fabulous Bailey Swingle to teach some of the morning Vinyasa classes.

Meet Bailey: Bailey started her personal yoga practice in 2007 after moving to NYC – it wasn’t long before she noticed the internal and external transformation that began to take place in her life. In 2010 she moved to the island of Maui where she committed to a daily ashtanga yoga practice with her teacher Nancy Gilgoff. After years of practicing and studying with some of the world’s most influential teachers, she realized her passion to share this experience with others. In 2012 she journeyed to India for her first teacher training and has been offering public classes ever since. Armed with this global, encompassing perspective she weaves all of her trainings into each class. Certified at the ERYT-200 level she invites every student, from beginner to advanced, to challenge themselves in ways they may have never thought possible. Balancing flexibility and strength, she teaches every detail – from breath awareness to alignment. Her classes are as dynamic as they are diverse, allowing each student to use their body as a tool to find balance in the mind and off the mat.

Reminder: There are no Mysore classes on Moon days, all other classes are held as usual.
