Global Climbing Day - Free Climbing For Everyone

Join us to celebrate the walls that unite us, not divide us.

In 2018, Global Climbing Day was August 18, 2018. It was a day full of FREE CLIMBING, live music from Joshy Soul and The Cool, a poster signing with Margo Hayes, food, drinks, and fun! The North Face also donated $1 to the Khumbu Climbing Center for every climber who comes to the gym that day!

Salt Lake Climbing Festival (SLCA Event)

The Salt Lake Climbing Festival is the SLCA's educational initiative designed to increase climbing knowledge within our community. Join us for a full weekend of skills based climbing clinics and festivities.

Home base: Alpine Rose, Brighton, Utah

Climb, Wine, & Dine

The goal of Climb, Wine, & Dine is to motivate and inspire our community by connecting them with expert and industry-leading women to gain skills in climbing and beyond.

ALL are invited to attend for climbing, nutrition and training clinics, a keynote presentation, gift bags, live music, food, and of course, WINE (and beer).

Registration opens soon!

End of Summer Party

Whether you are mourning the impending end of warmer days or celebrating the impending beginning of snowy ones, come do it with us for our last party in our courtyard before we put away the picnic tables, hammocks and yard games, and gear up for (cross your fingers) amazing powder days.

The season will end as it began - Live music, local artisans, Rumsy's goodies, and brews. If you are incredibly ambitious, use this as an opportunity to start (and finish!) your holiday shopping! If that sentence just sent shivers down your spine way too early, just come enjoy handmade crafts and a little camaraderie and reflect on your amazing summer adventures.

Free Adaptive Film Screening (7-9pm)

Jim Ewing is a veteran rock climber and senior rope engineer at Sterling Rope, a prominent rock climbing rope company. On Christmas Day in 2014, Jim fell over 50 feet to the ground in a climbing accident, a near-death experience that led to the subsequent below-the-knee amputation of his left leg. Before walking on a prosthetic, Jim was already climbing again, and before long, he began dreaming about his bucket list...In 2018, Jim invited a professional climber missing her left hand, Maureen Beck, to accompany him in attempting the first all-adaptive ascent of the über classic and deeply remote Lotus Flower Tower (5.10+) in Canada's Cirque of the Unclimbables. The route is on the list of North America's 50 classic climbs and the 2,000 foot granite face is coveted by climbers everywhere. In "Adaptive", Jim and Maureen hope to demonstrate that "disabled" climbers are just differently––and equally––abled.
