Solar Power at The Front Climbing Club

Our 7.6kw solar system is now fully functional and producing power.  Since installation in November '10, we produce over ten megawatts (Mw) of power per year - you can see the actual power charts on this page.  As summer approaches, each sunny day adds up 70kw/h of energy into the electrical grid.

This, in addition to our wind and solar offset, and our recycling programs, makes The Front Climbing Club in Salt Lake City, the greenest climbing gym on the planet!

Our system would not have be possible without assistance of the Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky Program with significant granted funds, plus organizational help from Utah Clean Energy.
